1. Does anyone have any experience with ePals? I spoke to a number of people at ISTE who used it to find international collaborative partners for their students, but I have not had much luck with it. I filled aout a class profile, responded to a number of other profiles, but so far have only one reply (from India) that will probably not work out for my classes. Are their other places a teacher can find classes for partnerships?
2. I have taken a couple of webinars from Edmodo and plan to use it for a new club offering this fall. Please tell your interested students about the club! Information is below. Thanks
Songwriters’ Club
This is a new club this year. If you would like to try your hand at writing music or writing lyrics and poetry, this club is for you. If you are already writing your own songs and would like to interact and get feedback from others who share your interest, this club is for you, as well. All levels of experience are welcome. The club is offered as “Songwriters’ Club- Week A” and “Songwriters’ Club-Week B” so that you can sign up for both or sign up for Songwriters and still be in another club. You can bring your instruments and store them in Room D-215 for club day or, if you don’t want to bring an instrument, we will have access to two computer apps that will allow you to compose and hear your music – “Virtuoso” for keyboard and “Live Guitar” for guitar. We will also have an online chat group through Edmodo so that you can share, discuss, collaborate between club days
